3 Reasons to Visit a Winery/Vineyard this Fall
As summer winds down and the weather changes, there’s one activity that gracefully transitions into the fall season. When I visited Windridge Vineyards recently, my impeccable experience inspired my plans to visit other local wineries throughout the fall season. If you need me to convince you to do the same, here are three reasons you should visit a winery/vineyard this fall:
1. Wine, Straight From the Source
There’s something special about tasting wine where it’s made. Some wineries have acres of grape-bearing vines attached to its property, while some urban wineries import the grapes and produce the wine in-house. Support your local wineries and grape growers by taking home a bottle!
2. Good Food Pairings
If your winery of choice has a restaurant, charcuterie board offerings, or even an on-site food truck – indulge! Pairing a wine tasting with delicious food takes the experience to the next level.
3. The Views
Outdoor wineries come with serene views of greenery. Some urban wineries come with stellar rooftop and/or waterfront views fit for your Instagram feed.
There are hundreds of wineries/vineyards to choose from in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Happy wine tasting!
