November is over. Now what?
It’s the first day of December and my whirlwind of a year filled with travel, good food, time with family, galavanting with new and old friends, sleep and failed fitness goals is over. As I sat at my desk yesterday, I asked myself — now what? It’s the last month of 2018 and I have no idea what I’d like to conquer in the next 31 days, what I’ve accomplished this year and most of all, what I want from 2019. Oh, and you better believe I want my things in 2019, all of them. But anyway, I was swarmed with a multitude of emotions as reality set in. The year is almost over. I failed to meet some personal goals like weight loss (these love handles should’ve been rock hard abs by now) but I’ve accomplished so much including launching this blog! I literally had to talk myself off the edge of anxiety because as much as I will miss 2018, I’m super ready for a fresh start. And by fresh start, I mean assessing all the goals I’ve dropped out of frustration, laziness or inconsistency and start to implement them now. I ask you to join me as I crank out a brand new list of goals and actionable steps we can get started on TODAY! Those books you want to read? Buy them. That destination you want to travel to? Book that ticket. Nothing will happen unless you move. As I write this, I’m preaching to myself. I planned on waiting a few more weeks before sending out an email like this, but that is only doing a disservice to myself and you. If you lack motivation like I do from time to time, I want you to know I’m here to be the one to tell you: don’t wait another day, don’t wait until you “find yourself”, don’t wait until everything is just right or perfect. No. The best things can happen when you just do it!
